Moby Grape

Moby Grape was formed in 1966 in San Francisco, California by Skip Spence, Bob Mosley, Don Stevenson, Peter Lewis and Jerry Miller. They are a rare band where all five can write songs, sing, and play guitar.

Their music blended jazz, rock, psychedelia, blues, folk and country elements into some of the best music imaginable. Their first eponymous album ranked 123 in Rolling Stone’s top 500 albums of all time.

They all have continued making music to this day and Skip, who passed away, had a son Omar Spence who carries on the musical tradition. This is the only place to buy Moby Grape merch that directly benefits the Moby Grape (including Omar) members.
